Julia Damron

Julia Damron is a managing partner at Athlaw LLP, where she maintains a robust caseload of ERISA disability benefits and NFL Concussion Settlement claims, serves as co-counsel for Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit against the NFL’s disability benefits plan, and helps oversee the firm’s operations. Julia has helped numerous clients achieve six- and seven-figure awards, including Active Total & Permanent (T&P) disability benefits—the most challenging to secure. She has also been integral to landmark wins for the firm, including appeals that set precedents in the NFL ERISA disability claims process and a $1.65 million concussion settlement award.

Promoted to managing partner in 2022, Julia is known as the “backbone of the firm,” recognized for her meticulous organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage the highest volume of cases among the firm’s attorneys. She has developed processes that are now standard across the firm and has played a key role in hiring and mentoring newer lawyers and clerks. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Julia’s commitment ensured continued progress for her clients despite unprecedented challenges.

Before joining Athlaw, Julia gained extensive litigation and class action experience at Petronelli Law Group, focusing on plaintiff-side employment law. Her background also includes discovery and ERISA experience, bolstering her ability to handle complex cases effectively.

Julia’s passion for advocacy aligns with her dedication to helping individuals navigate systems that can feel overwhelming or inaccessible. Outside of her legal practice, Julia is an avid musician and outdoors enthusiast.
