Emily O’Sullivan
About
Emily O’Sullivan joined Athlaw LLP as an associate attorney in September 2025 after serving as a law clerk since June 2023.
Over the past two and a half years, she has worked on numerous NFL CBA retirement benefits cases, assisted dozens of concussion settlement claims, and contributed substantial legal research to the firm’s class action practice. Her diligence, strong writing and research skills, and collaborative approach made her an immediate asset to the team. She approaches client relationships with the values she developed as a collegiate athlete: teamwork, communication, and guiding clients through unfamiliar processes. Emily takes pride in helping clients understand each stage of their case and ensuring they feel supported throughout.
Before joining Athlaw, Emily gained meaningful experience through internships with U.S. Congressman Seth Moulton, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Connecticut Sentencing Commission. During college, she also worked as a Sports Information Aide. While at USC Gould School of Law, Emily served as Senior Submissions Editor for the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice.
A former member of the Connecticut College women’s basketball team, Emily brings the discipline, resilience, and communication skills developed through college athletics into her legal work. She graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Government and American Studies, earned multiple academic distinctions, and was a three-time NESCAC All-Academic Winter Team honoree. Outside of work, Emily enjoys playing basketball, walking her dog, traveling, and supporting Boston sports teams.
